Métis Nation British Columbia advocates to the federal and provincial governments as well as other partners for funding to promote Métis culture, heritage and language. That funding that MNBC receives for Métis communities to celebrate cultural events and celebrations is minimal and it is important that communities apply for funding as well to ensure support for cultural events.

Heritage Canada provides funding to support the efforts of Aboriginal communities to strengthen Aboriginal cultural identity and participation in Canadian society. Métis communities can apply for the funding through Heritage Canada.
